Gay Country House Hotel Martinhoe Exmoor Devon
The Old Rectory Country House Hotel, Martinhoe, Exmoor National Park, North Devon

www.oldrectoryhotel.co.uk

Imagine Knightsbridge chic and the timeless classic elegance of a traditional English country house with an air of tranquillity and calm. The eight en suite bedrooms are simply unashamed luxury and equipped to the highest standards
in keeping with the fine heritage of this fabulous Georgian Rectory; all of the bedrooms are different, imaginatively decorated, supremely comfortable and have delightful little touches like fine toiletries and hand-made chocolates. You see, Huw and Sam the friendly owners really care about their guests. In fact, staying here has all the style, ambience and trappings of being a house-guest on a country estate but without the starchiness which here is found only in the table linen. Talking of which, dining is an irresistible affair were tables are graced with only the finest locally sourced produce, cooked with passion and impeccably presented under the romantic glow of candlelight, and Huw keeps a sensational cellar with stunning and interesting wines to accompany the extraordinarily good food. The fantastic garden is tranquillity itself, and having been nurtured by clergy past, it is a quintessentially English country garden full of heady-scented azaleas, rhododendrons and the bizarre gunnera. This is without doubt an idyllic and romantic country house escape. Huw and Sam together with their friendly attentive team of staff make The Old Rectory a very special and enchanting place to stay.

Gay Owned and Run Holiday Cottages Martinhoe Exmoor Devon
Hollowbrook Cottages, Martinhoe, Exmoor National Park, North Devon

www.exmoorcottages.co.uk

Hollowbrook Cottages, once the old stables to the rectory, are now luxury stone cottages that nestle peacefully in the beautiful grounds of The Old Rectory Hotel, next to an 11th century church. Hollowbrook Cottages are owned and run by Huw and Sam so, as you can imagine, they are beautifully furnished with large comfortable sofas, luxurious beds and wood-burning stoves. The cottages have been converted whilst retaining traditional features - exposed beams, latch doors and inglenook fireplaces. The cottages are available with either 2 or 3 bedrooms, sleeping up
to six people. The large farmhouse kitchen dining room with traditional scrubbed pine table is equipped with a range cooker and all the mod cons you need to make life easier. Upstairs the cottages have well appointed bedrooms - most with memory foam mattresses. Luxurious bed linen and towels are provided. The bathrooms are modern and contemporary, and the master bedroom is en-suite, everything you would expect from a luxury holiday cottage. Each cottage has TV, Digital Box, DVD, CD player and wireless broadband internet access throughout. Outside is a small detached garden with table and chairs and allocated parking. The ancient hamlet of Martinhoe borders National Trust land and is just one field away from where the dramatic cliffs of the Exmoor National Park meet the sea - this is great walking country and you can join the coastal path at the end of your cottage garden, and you don't have to go far to find some of the finest dining in the area at The Old Rectory Hotel.
